A third series of Ladette To Lady was recently filmed at Eggleston and broadcast during the early spring of 2008 on ITV. The girls used the Hall as their base with Eggleston's Gillian Harbord heading the teachers charged with attempting to transform the Ladettes into Ladies. The programme makers re-opened the Hall for the series, but the house no longer runs a cookery school!
The shop is full of our summer stock, plenty of unexpected gifts, specialist foods and local cheeses, Sheppy's cider and Lugashall fruit wines and our range of home cooked main courses and puddings, ideal for a summer buffet. Our summer bistro menu has plenty of fresh fish as well as vegetarian choices. Christmas gift stock should begin arriving in the shop in early autumn in time for our cookery and flower demonstrations. The cooks, Valentina Harris and Claire Bassano, will be joined by flower arrangers John Thexton and Tom Hodge in October and November. For further details, send us an email and ask to join the mailing list for advance details of forthcoming demonstrations.
We now have a small Lodge available for holiday rentals. Please contact visit www.statelyholidayhomes.co.uk for details or, alternatively, contact William Gray on 01833 650553 for more information.
